History
Virginia Health Center (VHC) is an Internal Medicine Practice headed by Dr. Philip O'Donnell. Our brand new facility - opened January 2014 - provides a full spectrum of primary care services, as well as on-site laboratory services.
Dr. O'Donnell has been providing care for the residents of Arlington and Falls Church for 24 years. Prior to opening VHC he was in practice at Primary Care of Arlington at Virginia Hospital Center for over 10 years.

History
Virginia Health Center (VHC) is an Internal Medicine Practice headed by Dr. Philip O'Donnell. Our brand new facility - opened January 2014 - provides a full spectrum of primary care services, as well as on-site laboratory services.
Dr. O'Donnell has been providing care for the residents of Arlington and Falls Church for 24 years. Prior to opening VHC he was in practice at Primary Care of Arlington at Virginia Hospital Center for over 10 years.

Philip J. O'Donnell, MD
Philip J. O’Donnell, MD was born in Washington, D.C and has lived in or around the Washington area his entire life. He graduated from Princeton University with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. After finishing college and working in computers for a few years, he then attended Georgetown University School of Medicine from which he graduated in 1987. Postgraduate studies were in categorical internal medicine (adult medicine) which he completed in 1990. He has worked as an internist/internal medicine physician in the Arlington/Falls Church area since then. Dr. O'Donnell is an active member of the Arlington County Medical Society. He has additional interest and competency in hyperbaric and wound medicine. Dr. O’Donnell is married to his loving wife, Mary, and has 3 children.

Litza Amurrio Sejas, M.S., PA-C
Mrs. Amurrio Sejas started working with Dr. O'Donnell at Primary Care of Arlington in 2011 and followed him to Virginia Health Center. She obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Biology & Psychology from the University of Mary Washington in Frederiscksburg, VA, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Mrs. Amurrio Sejas then completed her Master’s Degree in Health Sciences and a certificate as a Physician Assistant at George Washington University in 2009. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Mrs. Amurrio Sejas speaks Spanish fluently and is interested in diagnosing and managing hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, and thyroid disorders, as well as general preventive medicine. She enjoys wallyball in the winter and volleyball and soccer in the summer. Mrs. Amurrio Sejas is married and lives in Springfield, VA.
Linda D. Firth, PA-C
Mrs. Linda D Firth Blackburn, PA-C, is a Massachusetts native where she obtained her B.A. in Biology from Wheaton College. She graduated in 1980 from the Touro College PA program in New York, NY. Mrs. Linda D Firth Blackburn has over 39 years of diverse medical experience, especially in Internal Medicine. Before joining Virginia Health Center, L.L.C. she worked at Virginia Medical Alliance, P.C. in Springfield, VA for 20 years. Mrs. Linda D Firth Blackburn is affiliated with many hospitals including Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. She was a Boy Scout leader for 17 years and regularly volunteers as a licensed medical professional to assist during local half marathons and other races such as the Cherry Blossom Race.

Under the direct supervision of a physician, they may also call in drug refills, administer medications, perform an electrocardiogram, remove sutures, and change dressings.
In the clinical office, Medical Assistants often handle physician dictation and correspondence, update patient medical records, and arrange hospital admission or laboratory services. Medical Assistants with Virginia Health Center are certified by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
